NRM Re-Opens May 4th
A Covid Update
The NRM team understands the strain the COVID-19 Pandemic has caused our fertility patients. We understand that fertility is a disease, and fertility treatments are not “elective” but rather are necessary in a timely manner. With the initial outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, NRM weighed the risks and benefits of the severity of the pandemic’s strain on our health care system and followed the American Society for Reproductive Medicine’s (ASRM) guidelines to pause fertility therapy. With the passage of time, the necessity of fertility therapy has become more urgent.
NRM Will Resume Fertility Diagnostic Testing and Treatment Cycles Beginning Monday, May 4th
- All consult visits will continue to be offered via telemedicine. This helps minimize the number of both patients and staff in the office in order to maximize the safety of those needing physical care. Telemedicine offers you the ability to create your plan with our team and have all of your questions answered while safely remaining in your home or personal space.
- Ultrasounds and blood work will now be done in office with a specialized office visit plan detailed below.
- All treatments, including medications, intra-uterine inseminations (IUIs) and advanced fertility treatments (IVF, ICSI, Egg donor, Gestational Surrogacy) will be available for patients ready to build their family.
Living and operating in a society where COVID-19 exists is becoming a reality for many, and may be present for a prolonged period of time. The NRM team strives to maintain a safe practice where we can proceed with the therapies our patients need. Our re-opening procedures have been examined and prepared carefully by the NRM team: we are following all of the Center for Disease Control (CDC), ASRM, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines for returning to work.
You will notice when you return that our office remains comfortable and warm, yet has changed: we have re-organized our office space to ensure the safety of our staff and patients. To reduce the possibility of exposure for you and the NRM team, all patients will receive the following instructions regarding their scheduled visits:
1.) Complete the COVID- exposure screening questions before traveling to NRM for your appointment.
2.) We have a “No guest” policy at this time unless you have otherwise discussed this with our staff.
3.) Please bring a mask or face covering with you to your appointment and put it on prior to entering the building.
4.) Sanitize your hands upon entering the NRM office (we will provide you with hand sanitizer).
5.) You will have your temperature taken upon entering the NRM office. If your temperature is >99 degrees, we will have to reschedule your appointment for a later date.
Thank you for your help as we establish our “new normal.” We look forward to supporting you and to celebrating your growing families!
